DENIM MISH MASH

SM Youth showcased the latest denim collection for two Saturdays straight, with the SM Youth brand ambassadors taking the lead in both shows that took place in SM Makati and SM Mall of Asia. Style influencers such as Deegee Razon, Kerwin King, Jerome Guerzon, Angelique Manto, Tricia Ramos, Angel Yeo, Pauline Suarez, Wanda Cheng, Angelie Twigg, Bea Arboleda, Janeska Margaux, and Marlina Carlos got first glimpse of the denim collection.

Seen on the SM Youth runway shows were an refreshing mix of how the youth of today wear their denims. Athleisure and distressed styles are still tops on their list. Here are some tips on how to pull off these two looks:
Athleisure is reinterpreted with mix of blues through jeans with side tapes and stripes, giving your favorite denim a sporty appeal. Pair it with tops in stripes and block colors. Layer up in this cool rainy season with sweaters, cardigans and jackets in denim and bomber styles.

For those who are into distressed details, toughen up your pants with frayed hems and bigger rips. Even the girls have fun with boyfriend jeans, especially because of the ripped detailing. They especially love playing with textures by mixing soft knits with rugged denim.
It’s all about taking your look from day to night, especially for the youth of today. Wardrobe staples have to last, which means choices are made on quality and styles that will last you for years.
