Meet the SM YOUTH GO-SEE Season 3 Winners

The SM Youth Go-See Season 3 has now come to an end, with a big reveal of the two winners last June 1 at the Cove in Okada Manila. In the past eight weeks, each of the eight episodes have challenged the 14 finalists and tested their limits.  From solo photo shoots to being live mannequins, and working together for a group photo shoot, each of them stepped out of their comfort zones and went on to the next level with fantasy-themed pictorials, surprising not only themselves, but the special judges who guested on the show.

Watch and get to know them
“In SM Youth, we have always been on the lookout for fresh faces who can represent the brand, the lifestyle, and the community. More than the physical attributes, we look for potential ambassadors who have the heart and passion to inspire people through their stories. I designed the show to focus more on the stories of the contestants more than the competition, so that our audience can really get to know our potential ambassadors and connect with them on a deeper level. This is what makes our ambassadors different from the rest. Our fans get to follow their journeys from the very start and appreciate how they were able to be where they are now,” shares Bjorn Bedayo, SM Youth Senior Digital Marketing Manager and SM Youth Go See Producer.
Over the years, and at the finale live show, one can see that the SM Youth ambassadors and the SM Youth Go-See Season 3 finalists get along really well. Genuine friendships have formed, with the SM Youth brand ambassadors being supportive to the finalists in helping them reach for their dreams. SM Youth Assistant Vice President, Marielle Ardiente, adds:  “ What’s good about the SM Youth brand ambassadors, they would be open to constestants, allowing themselves to be available for questions. Everyone has a good heart. That’s what’s important.”

The Winners

Fans all over have eagerly watched these 14 finalists grow, and were present to cheer at the exciting live finale show where the final five strutted the runway. Intense as it may seem, all 14 finalists were present that special night to show support for SM Youth. All grateful for SM Youth for bringing these 14 individuals together for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
At the end of the show, the two winners were announced: Julian Rodriguez and Jaime Borromeo. Both 17 years old, these two are the youngest ever to win the competion with strict criteria that included their social media presence. Ardiente adds, “ Jaime won, because he was a consistent performer. Julian, though he was the one who entered without any knowledge of the industry, he was consistently going up.”
“If you ask their fellow contestants, they will tell you how genuinely selfless these two boys are. Even during our downtime, they’d be the first to give a helping hand to their fellow contestants and even to our production team. They always make sure to comfort their fellow contestants during the important moments and try to put a smile on everyone’s face. They always put others first before themselves in every situation. They really both embody the ideal SM Youth ambassador, because of everything that they showed to us throughout the entire season. These are what makes them the winners, and we aremore than proud of the both of them,” reveals Bedayo.
The Future is Bright
The world of Julian Rodriguez and Jaime Borromeo is just about to get even more exciting as they start their journey as SM Youth brand ambassadors. SM Youth has a lot of exciting plans with them for the rest of 2018! Expect to see them in SM Youth’s upcoming lookbooks, campaigns, events and fashion shows.
“An SM Youth brand ambassador is someone that embodies the brand. Someone that isn’t afraid to show their true colors. A role model that inspires todays youth, to be whatever they want to be and to chase their dreams. As of now, my main goal is to inspire and be a role model to everyone out there. I want to show everyone that it is okay to let down their walls and just be themselves.” – Jaime Borromeo
“Representing a brand as influential as SM Youth is both humbling and a huge responsibility. For me, SM Youth ambassadors are just normal and passionate people who challenge themselves to be better individuals every single day. Being authentic and being themselves day in and day out. Right now, I want to focus my time on carrying and staying true to SM Youth’s brand and using the platform given to me to positively influence the youth. I also want to constantly try out new things that are out of my comfort zone, like I did with SM Youth!” – Julian Rodriguez
This is what the SM Youth represents: the youth of today who are confident and ready to take on challenges, who are brave enough to push themselves to do something they have never done before. Testing their limits and exceeding their own and everyone’s expectations of them, because they can and they will do everything it takes to reach for their dreams.

Julian Rodriguez and Jaime Borromeo joins the prestigious group of SM Youth brand ambassadors, Tommy Esguerra and Richard Juan, including past two season’s winners, Kaila Estrada, Kyle Perry, Erika Kristensen, and Macauly Lofgren.
