Day 2 of Manila Fashion Week 2025 continued its vibrant celebration of Filipino fashion at SM Aura Premier, featuring standout presentations from OXGN and Chris Nick. The evening highlighted the rich duality of local design, where bold streetwear energy met refined couture craftsmanship.
At Samsung Hall, OXGN delivered a compelling showcase of its signature street-luxe aesthetic. The collection fused utility, rebellion, and effortless cool, with a play on textures and silhouettes that reflected a modern, global sensibility rooted in Filipino youth culture. The brand treated this show as a re-introduction, reaffirming its place in the streetwear scene and spotlighting the communities that shape it. OXGN’s message was clear: despite our differences, we all share something fundamental — the need to breathe, the need for oxygen — and that shared humanity should be valued.
Later that evening, Chris Nick transformed the Fashion Tent into a scene of sharp sophistication and sensuality. Known for his powerful take on modern femininity, the designer presented a sex-club-inspired collection that explored themes of elegance and eroticism. Rich browns symbolized diverse skin tones, while ivory hues added provocative contrast. Tuxedo variations — a staple in Chris Nick’s work — were reimagined in polished, raunchy silhouettes that embodied his signature style. His message to the audience was unapologetic: sex sells, and it has never left the fashion world.
This marks the second day in a landmark four-day celebration of Filipino fashion and creativity. The Manila Fashion Week 2025 schedule includes Andrea Tetangco and Viktor on October 16, Iñigo and DBTK on October 18, and Viña Romero and Randolf on October 19, culminating in an after party at Samsung Hall.
The event is brought to life by Maw Studios, Alvin Chua, and Chapters by Mayad, with executive production by Andy Tan and associate production by Lyka Estanislao. Videography was handled by Gerald Bustarde, Carl Tejada, and Patrick Soriano, while photography credits go to Jamie Lihan and John Paul Paver. Liah Barra served as project manager, Maireine Rubio as photo editor, and video editing was led by Dhezirhae Viclar, Zhy Rivero, and Julius Villavieja.
