Manila Fashion Week Day 3 Blends Edge and Emotion Through Distinct Visions from Iñigo and DBTK

The third day of Manila Fashion Week 2025 delivered a powerful showcase of Filipino creativity, as designers Iñigo and DBTK took the spotlight with collections that fused personal storytelling, cultural identity, and bold design.

Held at the Fashion Tent, Iñigo opened the evening with a collection that merged sculptural silhouettes and fluid movement, evoking themes of self-expression and transformation. Drawing from his background as a performer, Iñigo translated the energy of the stage into fashion, using intricate fabric manipulations and hand-stitched embellishments to create garments that commanded attention. “This collection is a full-circle moment,” he shared. “It brings my world as a performer into fashion, symbolizing metamorphosis and the beautiful way art forms can evolve and intersect.”

Later that evening at Samsung Hall, DBTK (Don’t Blame The Kids) closed the night with unapologetic energy and a deeply personal narrative. Their show, titled “Folding Dreams Into Flight,” celebrated the brand’s 13-year journey from grassroots streetwear to the main stage of Philippine fashion. With layered, conceptual looks and a confident aesthetic, DBTK honored its community-driven roots and the spirit of perseverance. “We want people to feel inspired — to see that streetwear is storytelling,” the brand stated. “Creativity has no boundaries, and dreams can take flight no matter where you start.”

The day’s events were part of a dynamic Manila Fashion Week lineup, which also featured shows from Andrea Tetangco, Viktor, OXGN, and Chris Nick earlier in the week, with upcoming showcases from Viña Romero and Randolf on October 19, followed by an after party at Samsung Hall. The event was brought to life by Maw Studios and Chapters by Mayad, with executive production by Andy Tan and associate production by Lyka Estanislao.
