Manila Fashion Week: A New Era of Philippine Fashion

The country’s most anticipated fashion event returns this October with a bold new identity. What began as BYS Fashion Week, a platform that redefined the local style scene with groundbreaking shows and collaborations, has now evolved into Manila Fashion Week—a celebration of Filipino creativity on a global stage.

A Legacy Reimagined

Since its inception, BYS Fashion Week has become synonymous with boundary-pushing presentations, uniting designers, brands, and artists in a shared vision of modern Filipino style. Over the years, the platform nurtured a vibrant ecosystem for both established and emerging talents, cementing itself as a cultural mainstay.

Now, with its transformation into Manila Fashion Week, the event expands its scope and ambition. The rebrand underscores a commitment to amplifying local voices while aligning the Philippines with the international fashion calendar.

The 2025 Edition

This year, Manila Fashion Week runs from October 16–19, 2025, at SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City, featuring a powerhouse line-up of visionary Filipino designers.

Over the years, BYS Fashion Week has consistently drawn the biggest names in Philippine media, celebrities, and influencers, making it one of the most well-attended cultural events in the country. This year, Manila Fashion Week expects the same overwhelming support from the community—with even more star power and regional names set to join the celebration, further cementing its place as the premier stage for Filipino fashion.

Vision and Leadership

At the helm of this transformation is John Lozano, founder of Manila Fashion Week, whose vision is to create a world-class platform rooted in Filipino identity yet resonant with international standards.

“There’s just so much talent in the country but not a lot of avenues to showcase them properly,” says Lozano. “We hope that at least, for fashion, MNLFW can be a platform for Filipino designers and brands to show the world their story and what they can offer.”

“Ultimately, the goal is for MNL Fashion Week to be an event that the region, if not the world, will look forward to,” Lozano adds. “And for it to be a launchpad for Filipino talent to go global. But for now, we just want it to be a celebration of the best in Filipino fashion.”
