UnionBank Powers Megaworld’s First Oceanic Property Management Digital Payment Platform

Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank), together with fintech partner DragonPay, recently inked a partnership with First Oceanic Property Management (FOPM) to enable its new 24/7 digital payment portal, iFAE or the Integrated FOPM Automated Experience.

As its digital enabler, UnionBank powers iFAE’s online collection and payment service to enhance the customer experience of FOPM residents.

“Digitizing the customer experience will play a crucial role for businesses in the normal. The launch of the iFAE shows why FOPM is always customer-first and a primary mover in the property management industry,” said UnionBank Fintech Group Head Arvie de Vera. “We will continue supporting our partners in creating business innovations to better serve our customers,” he added.

Now, residents can conveniently pay their association dues, utilities, and other assessments online through DragonPay’s vast network of collection facilities. Meanwhile, UnionBank’s customized service allows FOPM to easily manage these and disburse payments to accounts of the respective properties under its management.

The roll-out of this digital strategy on iFAE provides convenient, digital-first services to all of FOPM’s residents across 80 residential managed properties nationwide.

“We are revolutionizing the property management industry by providing a 24/7 digital solution for contactless payment. The first app of its kind, iFAE empowers residents to handle all their transactions anytime and anywhere with just a flick of their finger, whether that’s accessing our concierge service or wanting to view our community announcements,” said FOPM President Josephine Marie Ringler-Salazar. “We have adapted to an electronic platform, strategically partnering with UnionBank and DragonPay, so that residents can easily and safely communicate with us at their convenience,” she added.

The new iFAE web app is the latest milestone for FOPM’s online payment portal. Over the last year, the company has integrated services including UnionBank’s Bills Payment to expand options available to a number of condominium associations.

iFAE’s convenient payment solution addresses the need for safe and secure payment options in the midst of the pandemic.

“Now more than ever, all businesses, big or small, should quickly jumpstart and implement their digital strategy. DragonPay is pleased to be part of this digital solution by First Oceanic Property Management (FOPM),” said DragonPay Founder, Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Robertson Chiang. “It has always been our advocacy to provide customers the security and convenience by giving them various payment options like online banking, OTC, and payment centers,” he added.

The partnership bolsters UnionBank’s reputation as a digital enabler, aiding in the digital transformation journeys of its clients and strategic partners in order to build a more robust, interconnected fintech ecosystem.

A recently held digital signing event celebrating the milestone was attended by FOPM President Josephine Marie Ringler-Salazar, FOPM FVP – Operations Managing Director Rigoberto A. Santos, FOPM VP- Finance and Admin Head Neoli L. Kho, UnionBank Senior Vice President and Fintech Group Head Arvie de Vera, UnionBank Executive Vice President and Retail Banking Center Head, Joyce Gonzalez, UnionBank First Vice President and Sales Director Luis Alberto Castañeda, and DragonPay Founder, COO, and CTO Robertson Chiang.

The iFAE payment platform will be available starting July 24, 2020 at https://ifae.com.ph.
