Under one roof, Hosaku Yakiniku + Hot Pot + International Buffet is a restaurant fusion with leveled up ways of satisfying you meat cravings: yakiniku (grill) and shabu-shabu (hot pot), plus a buffet of international dishes.
Upon entering, Hosaku’s interior does not disappoint because the inside is as elegant with traditional Japanese design. It is spacious enough not to feel stifling in any way. The seating arrangement isn’t too bunched together as well. This is a good thing since you’re cooking as you eat.
Having a grill and a boiler right at your table can be uncomfortably hot, but you won’t feel it that way even there is no telescopic exhaust hood, thanks to the restaurant’s very good ventilation system. Its buffet area is just wide enough to prevent bumping elbows as well.
In this very advanced restaurant, the Revolving Conveyor Belt plays a major part. A first of its kind under the giant restaurant chain Fredley Group of Companies, this is where you can get fresh meat slices, shrimps, variety of hotpot balls, noodles, mushrooms and veggies that you can right away cook at the smokeless grill or put into the boiling hotpot.
They have six different kinds of broth available, including spicy Shizen and flavor-rich Pork Bone. At the table, you will already get twin pot so you can sample two kinds of soup at once. Another highlight of the resto is the hand-operated elevating strainer for the hotpot that does not burn hands and prevents overcooking of food.
Then at the buffet area, you will find a slew of dishes to add variety and excitement to your palate. Rice, salad and kimchi all-you-can is already given, but they also serve other non-Japanese dishes.
The buffet area houses the side dishes such as Japanese rolls, sashimis and tempuras. There are also dipping sauces, and condiments to complement your meal. Of course, everything is unlimited.
On the opposite side is the beverages (iced tea & soft drinks) and a small dessert area, with cakes and ice creams as the main attractions.
The price rate at Hosaku is exceptionally affordable. For only Php699 during lunchtime and Php799 during dinner time, weekends, and holidays.
