Shaburi & Kintan Buffet is a two-in-one Japanese dining concept under the management of UCC opening at Japantown, Top of the Glo, Glorietta 2, Ayala Center. It offers two restaurants at one spot — Shaburi, which specialises in shabu shabu and Kintan, with its premium Japanese BBQ. Formal opening is on July 9.
Shaburi provides each guest with their own hot pot for shabu shabu. Kintan, on the other hand, offers dishes in yakiniku style. Yakiniku is one of the most popular cooking styles in Japan. The best part of yakiniku is grilling the meat yourself and cooking each choice cut of meat just the way you like it.
At Kintan Buffet, they offer a premium Japanese BBQ experience, only specially selected meats and premium beef, alongside a variety of side dishes and special homemade “tare” or sauces. They offer buffet lunch and dinner as well as ala carte meat plate sets.

Kintan Buffet has a wide array of food choices. They currently have four selections of buffet package which consists of Regular Buffet, Kintan Buffet, Premium Kintan Buffet and Special Wagyu Buffet. Then, depending on the package that you have chosen, you might have different selection of the meat for the menu.
I do suggest you to take the Kintan Buffet package (P849 for adult) at the very least to enjoy many variation of meat. For this package, they have 3 meat choices: chicken, beef and pork, with 12 different flavor options.
And oh, try to avoid eating too much rice, just focus on grilling those meats.
But don’t forget about the Buffet counter where you can find over 20 items of side dishes. They are so delicious. They serve the Japanese’s traditional curry, sushi rolls and karaage. The potatoes wedges are fried well. There is also available salad bar and veggies are fresh, too!
To complete your meal, included also are soft drinks and dessert at the Soda Station and Ice Cream Station, and you can refill anytime you want to. To close your meal, you can create your own ice cream dessert and even coffee float. Yes, there is an ice cream machine, along with some topping that you can take as much as you want. Their matcha and vanilla soft serve ice creams are really great!
The servers at Kintan buffet are all nice and serve quickly. The order came out quite fast and accurate. They give fast response for the refill and cooking assistance. Throughout the meal, I never really piled my plates because the staff’s always take it whenever I finished.
The restaurant itself is quite big enough, the interior was mostly decorated with wooden furniture that gives off Japanese vibe.
Really recommend having lunch/dinner here with friends or family. One of the best AYCE in town. If you are a meat lover, Kintan Buffet is the right meal for you. The best thing is? You can order as much as you want with no limit! Worth the price with maximum 90mins eating time. Overall, good value for money, good ambiance and good service, and really great food!
