Best Filipino Baristas Competes at the 12th Philippine Grand Barista Cup

Allegro Beverage Corporation hosted the longest-running Barista competition this year during the recent AFEX 2018 in the World Trade Center, Pasay, Metro Manila.

The 12th Philippine Grand Barista Cup supports the coffee industry through this barista competitions by discovering the best coffee artist and barista in the trade and creating their unique coffee designs and concoctions which will be served in cafes in and around the country.
In cooperation with partner exhibitors, the premier competition aims to promote the excellence and recognition of the barista profession, to increase the appreciation for specialty coffee especially Philippine Arabica beans, and to raise the bar for Filipino baristas competing in world championships. As the Filipino baristas are getting better at what they do, and the world is slowly recognizing our very own Arabica beans, the Philippines’ highest rank so far in the World Barista Championships is at 13th place out of 60 countries.
