THE JET BOY BANGERZ from EXILE TRIBE (TJBB) have officially premiered the music video for “BLACK SHEEP,” the lead single from their highly anticipated second album, JET BANGIN’. Composed of 10 elite members, seven of whom are active performers of Japan’s professional dance league, D.LEAGUE, the group is widely recognized within LDH Japan for an unrivaled technical caliber that has fueled their rapid ascent in the global music scene.
Following the digital launch of JET BANGIN’, “BLACK SHEEP” serves as a high-impact statement on self-definition. The music video pairs an unapologetic message of individualism with the world-class choreography that has become the group’s professional hallmark.
The video was directed by Shigeaki Kubo, acclaimed for his work on the HiGH&LOW film series and the live-action adaptation of Golden Kamuy. Built around the theme ‘Breaking Free from Oppression and Liberation’, the visual narrative opens with TJBB arriving in a soul car, slowly transforming the order of a rigid, classical hotel. In a striking act of defiance, the members tear off the labels placed on them, moving forward with fierce energy toward a place of absolute freedom.
True to TJBB’s roots, the choreography was co-developed by TJBB member TAKI and top D.LEAGUE choreographer Shungo (known for his work with Da-iCE and BE:FIRST). The video’s centerpiece is a tightly synchronized sequence that pays homage to Michael Jackson’s iconic 1980s and 90s eras. All 10 members perform in sharp suits, fedoras, and single sequined gloves, skillfully incorporating classic props such as microphone stands and canes.
“The choreography incorporates our own unique style while paying deep respect and homage to Michael Jackson,” says TJBB member SHOW. “In the music video, we also paid special attention to the performance details, including the use of stand microphones and hats, so we hope you will check out the music video as well!”
This release caps off a massive breakout run for the group. TJBB secured consecutive No. 1 placements on the Oricon charts for their EP PHOTOGENIC and album JET BOY, delivered a viral performance on America’s Got Talent, and took the stage at major festivals across Southeast Asia. The group will carry this momentum into their upcoming THE JET BOY BANGERZ LIVE TOUR 2026 〜JET BANGIN’〜, launching in July 2026.
