Romance, music, and timeless storytelling come together this May as Venice Grand Canal presents A Symphony of Love and Summer, a month-long celebration inspired by the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet. Set against the charming backdrop of the mall’s iconic canal, the showcase invites guests to experience a summer filled with heartfelt performances, poetic moments, and meaningful activities that celebrate love in its many forms.
Guests can enjoy Venetian Serenade on the weekends of May, happening on May 16 to 17, May 23 to 24, and May 30 to 31 at 7:00 PM, where opera singers and acoustic duos will perform from the second-floor balconies, serenading shoppers, diners, and guests riding the gondolas with romantic melodies. Happening on the same dates and time, Expressions of Love features a period-dressed poet aboard a decorated gondola who will recite Shakespearean sonnets and romantic verses, giving mallgoers a glimpse into the timeless tradition of courtly romance and poetry.
The celebration will also feature Romeo and Juliet: The Story Reimagined on May 23 and May 30, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the canal area, bringing Shakespeare’s iconic love story to life through a fresh and captivating theatrical performance. Throughout the month, visitors may also take part in Echoes of the Heart, a special installation where they can write and share letters about their own love stories, heartfelt messages, or memories of heartbreak.
Completing the summer experience is Sips and Stories, running from May 15 to 31, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, where guests can cool down with refreshing summer drinks while enjoying light, feel-good stories and meaningful conversations in a relaxed, Mediterranean-inspired setting.
