10 Animal Welfare Groups Join Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ Annual Pet Blessing

Ten animal welfare groups are joining Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ annual Pet Blessing this October, with activities taking place across 10 destinations in Metro Manila, Iloilo, and Cebu.

Project Kuna, Cats of BGC, Cats of Eastwood, Animal Kingdom Foundation, YGTN, Stray2Oasis, Gabasa K9 Training, Pawraiso, Noah’s Arch, and Happy Tails will participate at different properties, sharing their respective advocacies and helping raise awareness on responsible pet ownership, animal care, and pet adoption.

Beyond the blessing ceremonies, the annual celebration provides an opportunity for pet owners and mallgoers to learn more about caring responsibly for animals, supporting adoption, and helping improve the welfare of rescued and vulnerable animals.

Activities begin on October 3 and 4 across Forbes Town, Eastwood City, Uptown Bonifacio, McKinley Hill, San Lorenzo Place Mall, Lucky Chinatown, Festive Walk Iloilo, and Alabang West Parade. Arcovia City follows on October 17, while The Mactan Newtown holds its celebration on October 31. The current event schedule spans these 10 Megaworld Lifestyle Malls destinations.

Alongside the blessing ceremonies, pet owners and their furry companions can look forward to lively pet fairs, games, treats, and a variety of pet-friendly activities at each destination. The celebrations offer opportunities for pets and their owners to enjoy the festivities while learning more about responsible pet ownership.

The celebration also builds on Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ long-standing commitment to pet-friendly spaces. Eastwood City was recognized by the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) as the country’s first pet-friendly mall in 2004, the same year it introduced its first Pet Blessing.

The Pet Blessing has continued to grow alongside Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ broader pet-friendly programs, including Pet Pass and Paw Club Access at participating destinations. Together with partnerships with animal welfare organizations, these efforts aim to create more welcoming spaces for pets while promoting responsible ownership, adoption, and greater care for animals.

Pet owners may check the official social media pages of the malls for registration requirements, event guidelines, and activity details. For more information, visit megaworld-lifestylemalls.com or call (02) 8462-8888.
