Herbalife launches “Better Every Day” campaign, names top PH pickleball players Leander Lazaro and Sarah Jane Lim as ambassadors

As more Filipinos look for ways to build healthier routines into everyday life, Herbalife, a global health and wellness company, community and platform, has launched its “Better Every Day” campaign in the Philippines, turning to pickleball to show how small, consistent choices can lead to lasting wellness.

For years, Herbalife has been actively supporting the running community in the Philippines, using it to connect with the general public through an activity that is both accessible and relatable to people from all walks of life. Building on this foundation, Herbalife is expanding its reach this year by embracing pickleball, a fast-growing sport that shares the same values of accessibility, inclusivity, and community engagement.

To champion this message, Herbalife introduced Leander Lazaro and Sarah Jane Lim, two of the country’s leading pickleball players, as ambassadors during the launch.

Held at Tela Park in Las Piñas, the event brought together Herbalife distributors and consumers in an open-play setting, with games on the court alongside other wellness activities.

The campaign will roll out through community-led activities and digital programs designed to equip Filipinos with the tools and knowledge to build healthier habits. These include nutrition clubs, pop-up wellness sessions, and run clubs, alongside larger events such as fun runs and pickleball clinics and leagues.

The launch comes at a time when more Filipinos are taking a proactive approach to their health. A 2025 Herbalife Asia Pacific Responsible Supplementation Survey found that 97% of Filipinos see preventive healthcare as important, signaling a move away from reactive habits. For many, finding simple and social ways to stay active is key.

“Pickleball offers one way in — a sport that is easy to pick up and social by nature. We are happy to welcome Lazaro and Lim to the Herbalife family. Both embody the values of discipline, resilience, and community on and off the court, inspiring Filipinos who are starting out or returning to an active lifestyle,” said Allan Domingo, General Manager of Herbalife Philippines.

“A key part of the campaign is a 21-day wellness program focused on total wellness, covering physical activity, proper nutrition, and extending to mental and social well-being. It is designed to help participants develop practical habits they can carry into their daily lives. At its core is a simple idea: being better every day starts with the small, practical choices that will hopefully stay consistent over time,” added Allan.

Lazaro, widely regarded as one of the top pickleball players in the Philippines, has competed internationally, while Lim, the country’s top-ranked female pickleball player, has made her mark across regional circuits, representing a growing wave of Filipina athletes in the sport. Both are professional players competing at the highest level in leagues such as PPA Asia and APP Asia, and both have been drafted into the World Pickleball League and Major League Pickleball (MLP) Australia, with Lazaro winning gold at MLP.

“For me, staying active is something you build over time,” said Lazaro. “It’s not just about playing well in matches. It’s also about taking care of your body every day, including how you fuel and recover, which is something I really value as part of my routine.”

Lim echoed this, saying that building a healthy lifestyle comes down to simple, everyday choices. “It’s about showing up, listening to your body, and doing what helps you stay active in the long run,” she said. “That’s why having the right support, including proper nutrition, makes a big difference.”

Through its “Better Every Day” campaign, Herbalife aims to make everyday wellness more accessible, encouraging people to keep moving, connect with others, and build healthier habits they can sustain.
