Big moves this Pride Month as PR-Events-Talent Company Verde Creatives just dropped a campaign that’s straight-up fire. The “Equality Champions: Magandang Laban” photo project is a visual masterpiece aimed at making waves for LGBTQIA+ rights in the Philippines. More than just stunning imagery, it’s a call-to-action to finally pass the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Gender Expression, and Sex Characteristics or SOGIESC Bill, a crucial piece of legislation that fights for equal rights across all sexual orientations and gender identities.
Why This Campaign Hits Different
This isn’t just another Pride Month event—it’s Verde Creatives’ way of doubling down on advocacy during their 8th anniversary. The timing? Impeccable. Pride Month is all about visibility and pushing for change, and this campaign lands right when conversations about LGBTQIA+ rights are peaking.
Leading the charge is Verde Creatives’ Ms. Bemz Benedito, a total trailblazer in the LGBTQIA+ movement. From being the first transgender congressional nominee to chairing Ladlad Partylist (the OG LGBTQIA+ political party in the Philippines), Ms. Benedito knows the fight inside out. Her leadership makes Equality Champions more than just a campaign—it’s a movement.

“Each photograph tells a story of courage, resilience, and the unwavering demand for dignity,” says Ms. Benedito. “By making our lives visible, we can dismantle prejudice and finally push the SOGIESC Bill forward.”
Vashti Ortego, Society of Transsexual Women of the Philippines (STRAP) Executive Director, is very excited and proud of this project. “We are excited that Ms. Bemz is doing this for us. Through this super creative and exciting campaign, we are giving faces to more rights that we need to claim. And a lot of the STRAP girls are in this campaign.”
“Ladlad Partylist is proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Verde Creatives and STRAP in this vital campaign,” said Ladlad Chairperson Dexter Macaldo.
For Ms. Maria Barbie Anne Arcache, National Leader of 1 LGBT Filipinas Incorporated and Adviser to the Philippine Financial and Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP) Council, the images showcased are a testament to the diverse and vibrant LGBTQIA+ community and our allies. “This campaign is a crucial step in bringing the SOGIESC Bill to fruition, transforming decades of struggle into tangible legal protection and acceptance.”
The launching event became more meaningful with the presence in the campaign of Transpinay of Antipolo Organization or TAO and the LGBTQIA+ Association of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board or LTFRB under the Department of Transportation.
The Power Behind the Project
This isn’t a solo act. The campaign is backed by solid names in LGBTQIA+ advocacy, including Ladlad Partylist, STRAP, and a lineup of powerful allies. Even corporate giants and public officials are jumping in, showing that support for equality isn’t just growing—it’s mainstream.
More Equality Champions are stacked with voices ready to make an impact. From right activists to top-tier leaders like Senator Loren Legarda, who is demonstrating high-level legislative backing, and Representative Geraldine Roman, the first openly transgender congresswoman. Other prominent political figures lending their support are: Representative Marlyn “Len” Alonte, a Member of the House of Representatives, further showing legislative backing; and Quezon City Councilor and Kababaihan Partylist Kate Galang-Coseteng, who provides local government support and indicates alignment with grassroots and women’s advocacy.
From the public service sector: PGeneral Rommel Francisco Marbil and Mrs. Mary Rose Marbil offer their endorsement, broadening the campaign’s appeal to mainstream and potentially conservative segments. Corporate partners such as Dark Roast Coffeehouse, P-IKAN, and Organic Nature also provide crucial support, signaling business community engagement and demonstrating diverse industry involvement. The strength of this coalition underscores that the “good fight” for equality is a shared societal responsibility, supported by influential voices from various sectors.
The project amplifies not just LGBTQIA+ individuals, but also cisgender allies who stand alongside them, proving that the fight for equal rights is a collective one.

A Movement That Demands Action
Verde Creatives is doing more than sparking conversations—they’re pushing for real change. “Magandang Laban” isn’t just a catchy title; it’s a call to fight for justice. With the SOGIESC Bill still stalled in Congress, campaigns like this are critical for keeping up the momentum and reminding lawmakers that equality isn’t optional—it’s essential.
What’s next? This campaign is just the beginning. Expect more advocacy, more visibility, and—hopefully—more legislative wins.
Time to step up. Dive into the conversation, share the campaign, and be part of the movement. The fight for equality is on, and everyone has a role to play.

967846 994777There is an ending. Just remember that I meant for this to be an art game. I do feel like I spent an inordinate amount of time on the more traditional gameplay elements, which could make the meaning of the game a bit unclear. In case you mess about with it though, youll discover it. 676118
