Dark Roast Coffeehouse Celebrates One Year of Brewing Community and Bold Flavors in Maginhawa

Popular coffee spot marks milestone with anniversary celebration and new product launch

Nestled in the vibrant heart of the Maginhawa food district in Quezon City, Dark Roast Coffeehouse stands as more than just a place for exceptional coffee. Since opening its doors a year ago, it has quickly become a cherished community hub, distinguished by its commitment to brewing joy, fostering connection, and offering bold, high-quality flavors.

And just recently, Dark Roast Coffeehouse celebrated its first anniversary. Overcoming the challenges of a competitive landscape, the coffee house has established itself not just as a purveyor of fine coffee but as a vital community space over the past year.

To mark this milestone under the banner “Darker. Bolder. Better.”, Dark Roast Coffee House hosted a special celebration with the owners, Krista, Jianne, Eli, and John, sharing their excitement and gratitude for the community’s support.

Since it first opened, Dark Roast Coffee House has become a favorite gathering place for students and working professionals, a venue for independent musicians, and a meeting point for press, bloggers, and various personalities. It has distinguished itself through its commitment to quality coffee, cozy atmosphere, and fostering a sense of community.

“This past year has been an incredible journey,” said John. “Seeing Dark Roast become a second home for students, artists, and neighbors in Maginhawa is more than we ever dreamed of. We wanted to build something real, and the community response has been overwhelming.”

Krista added, “We started with a passion for bold coffee and a desire to build connection. Reaching our first anniversary proves that people crave authenticity, community, and yes, seriously good dark roast! We’re just getting started.”

The Dark Roast Coffee House team extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of their successful first year, shared memorable stories, and took a look back at the year’s achievements.

“We’re immensely grateful to everyone who’s walked through our doors and supported us,” expressed Eli. “This celebration isn’t just about us reaching a milestone; it’s about the vibrant community that makes Dark Roast special. Get ready for Darker, Bolder, Better things ahead!”

Jianne remarked, “From launching unique brews and pastries to hosting talented indie musicians, year one laid the foundation. We’re excited to unveil what’s next tonight and continue brewing joy together with our amazing patrons.”

The anniversary celebration, held last April 27, was indeed an evening of appreciation, connection, and exciting new tastes.

The main highlight of the event was the unveiling of their bread creations in partnership with Butterboy and their latest coffee: the new Oreo Croissant (P130), Black Sesame Croissant (P130), and Dark Roast Latte (P200).

Also announced during the celebration is the introduction of their Loyalty Card Program. Just pick up your loyalty card at the counter, then sip, stamp, and reward yourself with every cup with these limited-edition goodies:

  • 6 stamps = Get a FREE exclusive tote bag

  • 12 stamps = Get a FREE premium coffee tumbler

Yes, now there’s even more reason to visit this favorite coffee spot!

Meanwhile, for those who want to experience their favorites without leaving their home, here’s another exciting news: Dark Roast Coffeehouse will be just a tap away as they will be available on GrabFood soon.
