“Unimaginable,” Korina Sanchez-Roxas reacts to guest Lani Misalucha saying she might just stop singing altogether after her bout with meningitis, which is caused by a bacteria that causes the brain to swell, resulting in the loss of hearing in Lani’s one ear.
“Pareho kami ng asawa kong nagkasakit and pareho kaming bingi na ngayon sa isang tenga. Hindi ko naririnig nang maayos ang sarili ko at music. Sintunado na pala ako, di ko pa alam,” confesses the teary eyed singer who is called Asia’s Nitingale.
Lani Misalucha left the Philippines decades ago at the height of her career and migrated to Las Vegas. But the singer, who is extremely good, did not stop in aspiring for a bigger success as she chased her dreams in America.
