Amidst the bustling urban rush, Hong Kong celebrates the season of love with light, music, and entertainment as it illuminates with breathtaking outdoor light art installations, exceptional multimedia light and sound shows, and magnificent fireworks.

From 02 January until 24 February, Phase 2 of the Hong Kong Pulse Light Festival features the beautiful skyline of Victoria Harbour, showing its artistic side through seven new exhibits that represent Love and Romance in celebration of Valentine’s Day. These exhibits are on display from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Local and international artists are showcasing their works at The International Light Art Display where light installations and luminous sculptures from around the world are on display at the central harbor front for both locals and visitors to enjoy. The promenade is definitely mesmerizing as it lights up with the magnificent view of Victoria Harbour at night. These instillations can be seen at iconic sites along Central and Western District Prominade (Central Section).
The International Light Art Display has turned the city into a photogenic and interactive experience featuring luminescent installations including local and international passionate light art pieces such as:

Birds Fly Around With You, an interactive light sculpture that will captivate both young and old. The audience who enters the circle will activate the magical machine which will illuminate the birds one by one, giving the illusion that they are flying. The more audience there is in the circle, the more birds will fly around.

Bunch of Tulips is a huge inflatable installation that is an enlarged interpretation of the Dutch Tulip craze. During the tulip-mania in the 1630s, tulips were so popular that they were almost as expensive as an Amsterdam canal house.

Cloudy Lanterns is an exhibit that aims to stimulate a sense of contemplation. Using the medium of light, a memory of nature is transformed through the random and fragmented forms in art. This paradoxical idea of bringing the sky closer to the earth has given birth to “the cloud” as evidence to create this imagery.

Stepping into Capture relives the moment of passion. The process of falling in love is something to cherish. Through the shape of the heart, the twinkle of the lights, and the music of romance, the pulse of love is captured.

Hello, Stranger shows two strangers standing in the middle of the installation. As they fix their gaze on each other, the sensor is activated and the 60 seconds of interactive experience with LED lighting and music begins. As friends for one minute, they will remember each other for a lifetime.

Geometry of Love explains that love is not easily measured and that the depth and amount of love is different for everyone. The geometric pattern of the sphere-shaped artwork represents the endless design of geometry—an infinite world of patterns in space, while its colored film projects the shape of love that sparkles at night. The Geometry of Love connects love and geometry to show the different faces and limitless potential of love.

Lost City—Love is in the Air features Hong Kong as a fast-moving, complicated city. If it’s possible to slow down and look around with fresh eyes in this busy and crowded metropolis, it will be seen that love is in the air, everywhere.

A wide range of enchanting activities, key attractions, and night tours will brighten up your Valentine’s trip to the city.
