Transcom ROHQ Lifestyle and Wellness Hub: A Testament to Transcom’s Culture of Care

On May 24, Transcom launched its Lifestyle and Wellness Hub at its new Regional Operating Headquarters (ROHQ) at 31 EDSA Mandaluyong. City.

The hub, which showcases the Transcom Cafe, a gym, and a 24/7 child care facility; provides employees the opportunity to create a healthy work-life balance – the Transcom Cafe is a cozy area to unwind and spend relaxing moments with colleagues. The fitness center is equipped with materials used for physical fitness and conditioning; and the child care facility is a worry-free space where employees can leave their kids with professional caregivers while they are at work.

The project came about because of Transcom’s belief in investing in people. For years, it has established a culture of focusing and caring for its hardworking people and making sure that they are offered benefits, privileges, and amenities that are relevant, valuable, and accessible to them. Its battlecry “Transcom TAYO!” (We are Transcom!) communicates a culture that is centered on people.

“Transcom, in its very core, is all about an inclusive team that is focused on people. It is about setting the standard of dignity, equality, and respect. It means that each one takes part in proactively shaping, cultivating, and building the company we want to work and live in. This is why genuine care is important to our company. Genuine care for people is very consistent with the Filipino trait “Malasakit” which we would like to permeate in our organizational culture.” – Mark Lyndsell, CEO of Transcom’s Global English Region

Other than the cafe, gym, and child care facilities, Transcom has been operating onsite pharmacies to save employees the hassle of buying needed medical supplies outside, as well as regular shuttle service to all employees to ensure their safety and ease the challenge of commuting to and from work.

Both the onsite pharmacies and shuttle services are available in other sites as well. During times of financial and emergency needs, employees help their fellow employees through contributions that they course through Transcom Cares.
