Held from May 21 to 31, the competition brought together some of the finest local and international tennis talents, delivering world-class competition, inspiring displays of sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments on the court.
A significant milestone for Philippine tennis, the Palawan Open 2026 showcased elite-level competition across multiple divisions, drawing athletes, coaches, tennis enthusiasts, and supporters from across the country and beyond. In the Women’s Singles division, Tennielle Madis of Cotabato captured the title after defeating Marian Capadocia in a hard-fought final. Fil-Am standout Christopher Papa emerged victorious in the Men’s Singles division, overcoming AJ Lim to claim the championship crown.
Papa also showcased his versatility in the Men’s Doubles division, teaming up with Francis Casey Alcantara to defeat Eric Jed Olivarez and Nilo Ledama, 7-6, 6-3. In the Women’s Doubles event, Tennielle Madis continued her dominant run alongside Stefi Marithe Aludo, securing a commanding 6-0, 6-2 victory over sisters Kaye-Ann and Mica Emana. Meanwhile, Francis Casey Alcantara and Marian Capadocia captured the Mixed Doubles title after edging out the pair of Tennielle Madis and Ronard Joven in a thrilling 6-2, 4-6, 16-14 championship match.
