CheQ Helps a Local Community Through Its CheQKada Silya, Upuang Kay Ganda Initiative

As part of its commitment to helping the community, CheQ Systems, one of the leaders in software quality engineering and testing in the Philippines, held its annual Corporate Social Responsibility activity last March 24. Their program, called CheQKada Silya, Upuang Kay Ganda, was organized for the students of the Isaac Lopez Integrated School in Mandaluyong.

Volunteers from CheQ, including President and CEO Roel Hernandez and Vice President of Delivery Management Raymund Esponilla, joined the hundreds of Red Cross members, teachers, students and other school volunteers in cleaning up the classrooms and refurbishing tables and chairs. To make this event possible, the company with the help of Red Cross, identified a school in need and worked with the faculty to improve the condition of the students’ chairs, which is vital in making the classrooms conducive for learning.

“Through this initiative, we aim to encourage students to become more invested in their learning as well as get them excited for the school year ahead. Our efforts may be small, but we know it carries impact, most especially since it helps to mold the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs and big thinkers,” claims Roel. In addition to CheQKada Silya, CheQ also hosts numerous campaigns for the community such as feeding programs, charity donations and the like.

“They’ll be sitting on those chairs for a year, studying.  That chair will be there for them through hours of lecture, through bursts of creativity, moments with friends.  Each student will have his very own captain’s chair for their personal journey towards learning,” shares Raymund.
