The year 2017 has been a magnificent year for a smartphone brand Vivo. Just when I was telling that we already witnessed a gorgeous update in last issue with the V5 S, Vivo moved the goalpost again with the launched of V7 and their flagship phone the V7 Plus. I’ve been using the V7 Plus for quite a while and like anyone would expect, it’s another selfie-centric phone that would bring mobile entertainment to a whole new level.
The V7 Plus has 24 MP camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture accompanied LED flash. It has a variety features like Face Beauty, Group Selfie, Portrait Bokeh, HDR, HDR, Gender detection. The favorite Face Beauty feature has now three new customization feature: the buffing, skintone and whitening. You can manually adjust these features to produce more natural looking selfie. At the back is 16MP with f/2.0 aperture and also a LED Flash. Compare to its predecessor, all features of V7 Plus’ camera is undeniably better.
A praiseworthy camera is just the typical feature for the brand Vivo, but the display and facial recognition feature of Vivo is its alluring design and the facial recognition feature.
The V7 Plus has 5.9-inch or 14.9 cm IPS FullView display. It features 18:9 screen ration. The design became more attractive because of its slim and nearly bezel-less structure. Even with the increase of size the V7 Plus fits well in the hand. The screen is protected by corning Gorilla glass 3 for outdoor operation and protection.
The Facial Recognition Feature of V7 Plus is admirable. The V7 Plus is surprisingly reliable. It can recognize your face very fast, like it knows its user. I was surprised that the feature works when I tried wearing an eyeglass or even a black shade. According to the disclaimer of the phone, the V7 may be unlocked by people or object that look similar to you, that is why I tried using my photo to open the phone. Fortunately, it didn’t work.
One of my favorite feature in V7 Plus is the Game Mode. The Game Mode not only allows you to block or reject incoming calls but also gives you the privilege to accommodate it as a background during the game. Beyond that is the AK4376A Hi-Fi Audio Chip. These two features will bring you the most desirable experience not only in gaming but also in movie marathon or when you are just listening to music.
The V7 Plus has a huge screen but it has low pixel density. The V7 Plus has f 1440 x 720 resolution. Smartphone users this day are accustomed to Full HD or higher resolution that is why the change in quality is noticeable.
The V7 Plus is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450, 4GB of RAM and run by Android 7.1 Nougat. The V7 also has 64 GB internal storage that can be expanded to 256 GB through microSD Card.
Vivo V7 Plus is available at P17, 990. Like its predecessor it is selfie-centric phone with 24 MP front facing camera yet it sports features that will elevate your smartphone entertainment experience. It has attractive design and heavy features that you would definitely dream to have.
