Every year, we celebrate the love shared between a mother and her child, and the simple joy it brings to mothers all around the world. The trials, the tribulation, the laughter, and smiles together, all of it packed into one fun filled day where mothers are recognized for being the superheroes they are.
This year, Century City Mall celebrated with Mother’s Day special activities – mother-child bonding and workshops, by The Parent Emporium that surely made the day unforgettable.
One of the activities was a fun blindfold game, wherein the children were blindfolded and he/she had to identify his/her own mother by touching and feeling their face, hair and hands as they stood in a line alongside other fellow mothers. This activity was done in collaboration with James MacKay Foundation, Inc. and the Philippine National School For The Blind, whom sent in students and their mothers to take in the activities. Serving as a reminder, yet again, that despite obstacles, a mother’s love is unbreakable.
Good friends beauty queen Mafae Belasco and entrepreneur Cherry Genato has gathered their fellow wonderful mom friends to this special event: Blanca Mercado, COO of The Manila Times; Jane Kingsu-Cheng, EIC of Working Mom Magazine; Roice Naguit, TV5 News Anchor; Maricel Cua and Beng Feliciano of The Parenting Emporium; Ember Carey, wife of Harvey Carey and a mom-preneur; Aliza Apostol-Goco, wife of Chef Robby Goco; Alexis Urbiztondo of Hula Hands; Miss World 2005 Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz; and Karen Agustin-Ostrea, beauty queen and co-author of The Secrets of Beauty Queens.
