PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE member KOKORO and Filipino band Lola Amour have won Best Global Collaboration Recording at the Awit Awards, one of the Philippines’ most prestigious music awards, for their collaborative track “The Moment (with KOKORO).” With this honor, KOKORO makes history as the first Japanese artist to win the Best Global Collaboration Recording award.
Released in July 2025, “The Moment (with KOKORO)” brings together Lola Amour’s distinctive mellow and moody sound with the soulful vocals of lead vocalist Pio Dumayas and KOKORO. Drawing from pop, funk, rock, jazz, and other musical influences, the track captures the excitement and romantic anticipation of falling in love. The song highlights the musical chemistry between the artists, seamlessly blending their distinct styles across borders.
Lola Amour is one of the Philippines’ prominent contemporary bands, known for their genre-bending sound and strong presence in the local music scene. Their breakout hit “Raining in Manila” became a major success in the Philippines and received the Special Award for Philippine Popular Music at the inaugural Music Awards Japan (MAJ) in 2025. The band also received Best World Music Recording (for Love on Loop) at the 39th Awit Awards, further establishing their presence in the Philippine music industry.
The collaboration between KOKORO and Lola Amour has continued to grow beyond the release of “The Moment.” In September 2025, KOKORO joined Lola Amour onstage at their live performance in Manila, Philippines. Since then, the artists have continued to bring their music to audiences across the region, including a performance in Macau and KOKORO’s surprise appearance at Lola Amour’s first performance in Japan in January 2026.
This latest recognition marks another milestone in the growing musical exchange between Japan and the Philippines, while also reflecting PSYCHIC FEVER’s continued expansion across Southeast Asia and the global music scene. Coming during the 2026 Japan-Philippines Friendship Year, the award celebrates how music can connect artists and fans across cultures and borders.
