SM Group of Companies bagged 5 spots out of the Top 20 Taxpayers recognized during the Baliwag City Government’s Institutional Partners’ Night recently held at the Baliwag Star Arena.
Baliwag City Mayor Ferdinand V. Estrella led the awarding of the distinguished Plaque of Appreciation to the SM Group of Companies along with other corporations for their significant role in shoring up the local government’s operations and development through their job-generating businesses and tax payments.
SM Group of Companies has consistently topped the list of Baliwag’s revenue sources, led by the Mercantile Stores Group Inc. (SM Store) at first spot, followed by SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SM City Baliwag) second, Super Shopping Market Inc. (SM Hypermarket) third, Star Appliance Inc. (SM Appliance Center) sixth, and Fast Retailing (Uniqlo) eighth.
Recognitions were likewise given to SM City Baliwag and SM Foundation for their exemplary support to the Baliwag City Government’s programs, solidifying their role as staunch partners in attaining the city’s remarkable progress over the years.
