STI Talent Search Returns, Further Boosts Students’ Holistic Growth

Academic institutions today provide a wide range of extracurricular activities to assist students develop their character and better prepare for the real world, demonstrating that shaping the youth extends beyond classroom learning.

This philosophy has also been embraced by STI, one of the largest educational institutions in the nation, which uses a comprehensive educational approach as part of its Enrollment to Employment (E2E) System.

STI has created specialized extracurricular activities that enable students to refine and exhibit their talents both within and outside of their individual courses as part of its commitment to producing well-balanced and highly gifted graduates.

Its long-running STI Talent Search program, which has recently returned to its magnificent physical format for the School Year 2022–2023, is one of its student development initiatives.

After a brief hiatus due to the epidemic, the event now promotes collaboration among students around the country by showcasing their talents.

Last January 13, students from STI campuses around the country gathered at the Star City and Aliw Theater in Pasay City, for a full-day celebration of talents, skills, and accomplishments that preserves STI’s commitment to greatness.

The best student musicians, dancers, heartthrobs, and darlings competed in a number of competitions held concurrently at the Aliw Theater and Star City, including this year’s Singing Idol (a solo singing competition), Battle of the Bands (a band competition), Hataw Sayaw (a dance competition), and the eagerly anticipated Search for Mr. and Ms. STI 2022.

STI attendees enjoyed the entire day of festivities and performances by celebrity visitors in addition to having access to the entire theme park.

The STI Talent Search is only one of the student initiatives planned for the academic year as the institution gets ready to welcome the incoming Second Semester with even more exciting and network-wide educational activities focused on holistic development.

Aisa Hipolito, STI Vice President for Academics, said, “STI has always been inventive in providing our students with great learning experiences to become well-rounded persons for almost 40 extraordinary years of developing students’ potential via academic and extracurricular activities.

Tagisan ng Talino and Tagisan ng Sining, which include academic competitions like Think Quest (team quiz bee), CodeFest (mobile app development), Mix n’ Flair (flair bartending), Travelogue (tour guiding), Chef Xpress (cooking competition), Shutter’s Best (photography), and Director’s Cut (video making), among others, are among the activities for the 2nd Semester.
