Shoe Art Rizal Edition Exhibition at SM City Taytay

In celebration of 121st Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal and 124th Philippine Independence Day, SM City Taytay recently inaugurated the highly anticipated exhibit of ๐—ฆ๐—›๐—ข๐—˜ ๐—”๐—ฅ๐—ง ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐˜‡๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—˜๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฎ ๐—œ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ-๐—ง๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ป ๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป.

The said exhibit has become a showcase of the shoes of the local footwear brand, each pair represented artistically by artisans from the provinces of Rizal. Intricately designed and created by home-grown artists, the shoes depict the influence and style in their respective hometowns.

In partnership with World Balance, Pera Asia, Inc., Sunnies Studios, and the Association of Tourism Officers of Rizal, the inter-town art competition aims to urge creativity to each artist-participants representing their municipalities namely Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Jala-jala, Morong, Pililla, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Tanay, Taytay, and Teresa, depicting Rizaleรฑos culture and lifestyle.

During the awarding ceremony, the pair of shoes representing Municipality of Angono designed by artist Francis Jove Dela Cruz emerged as the grand winner.

Also, both the artists from the municipalities of Cardona and Angono won the ๐™‹๐™€๐™๐˜ผ ๐˜ผ๐™Ž๐™„๐˜ผ ๐™„๐™‰๐˜พ. ๐˜พ๐™๐™ค๐™ž๐™˜๐™š ๐˜ผ๐™ฌ๐™–๐™ง๐™™, while the Municipality of San Mateoโ€™s artist Alpha Vida Amor Leonardo and Municipality of Caintaโ€™s artist John Kenneth Sebastian won the World Balance ๐˜พ๐™๐™ค๐™ž๐™˜๐™š ๐˜ผ๐™ฌ๐™–๐™ง๐™™ and Sunnies Studios ๐˜พ๐™๐™ค๐™ž๐™˜๐™š ๐˜ผ๐™ฌ๐™–๐™ง๐™™, respectively.

Over the years, SM City Taytay hosted inter-town contests with the likes of Paint your Town in a Gown, Byahe Tayo lntertown Miniature Jeepney designing contest, Pinoy Fun sa Barong lntertown Barong Design contest, Art in Cutlery intertown giant spoon and fork hand painting competition, and Barbie in the East a passion for Filipiniana Fashion.

Visit the Ground floor, Bldg. A of SM City Taytay to appreciate the amazing craftsmanship of each artist featured in Rizal until June 12.
