Rising reggae/folk act JAPPH pays tribute to Liwliwa surf town on ‘I Will’ music video

Rising indie act JAPPH has finally dropped the music video for “I Will,” the carrier single off his upcoming 2022 album, Life Is Way Too Short For Bad Vibes.

The music video, helmed by JAPPH himself with cinematography by Welvin Medina, features the captivating surf town of Liwliwa, Zambales, and easygoing pleasures that the paradise offers.

The concept, according to an official statement, “revolves around friends escaping the bustling city life over the weekend,” and discovering the laid-back atmosphere of Liwliwa, its beaches and hidden gems, as well as the beautiful people basking in its scenic glory.

“It was smooth and fun working with the team,” JAPPH shares. “They’re also my friends in real life, so the shoot doesn’t feel like work at all.”

The song fits perfectly as the musical backdrop for the warm, relaxed vibe of the coastal town in Zambales, lending its reggae backbeat and swoony guitars to the place’s breathtaking pulse. True to his trademark sound, JAPPH “aims for carefree breeziness that zips through the airwaves with images of a laid-back trip to the beach or the mountains.”

“I Will” is written and produced by JAPPH, and is all about “going to a safe haven where you can do whatever you want with your special someone.”
