MNL HipHop Festival 2018, the first & the grandest hiphop festival in the Philippines, is coming to Circuit Makati Concert Grounds on November 30, 2PM to 2AM.
From old school hiphop, underground HipHop to this generation’s hiphop culture, you can expect 30 local HipHop artists to join the inaugural music festival as a HipHop Nation. Expect 30 Local Artists, 3 DJ and 7 Side Activities in a 2-hectare events area catering up to 10,000 crowd.
The gathering promotes Filipino culture, arts and environmentalism through lyrical poetry. Presentor ApoDrop Production decided to have this event because its channeling the youth to be more incline to music and expression as HipHop here in the Philippines isn’t just about genre and music selection, but more of a culture and a community of people with the same liking. You can anticipate that all the elements of HipHop will be experienced during the festival.
During the Media Night event last October 25 at the Hi MNL Event Club, the music video of the song Pisi by our very own artists Ron Henley & Kleb was launched. Ron Henley, Kleb, Pino G, Baysa & R1ch, Poor Taste, and DJ Ash Wednesday also performed.
The Song Pisi is about a relationship that used to be thriving and full of love until it wasn’t anymore. The relationship is deteriorating and full of doubts & misunderstandings. The ‘other one is getting tired from fighting . and the other one is losing interest for the relationship to work out. There might be problems entangled in every relationship, but for sure, there will always be one who wants to work things out and try to save whatever is left. This song is about someone who is on the brink of giving up or saving up. We all went through this — one-sided relationships.
