First-ever Vivo HoopBattle Championship in the PH a Slam Dunk among Pinoy Hoops Fans

Global smartphone brand Vivo has successfully mounted the first-ever Vivo HoopBattle Championship Philippines.

The top eight teams who faced off at the Market! Market! this Sunday were Ballers, Metrostar Realty, Team F4, BS Susim Shipping, Team Core, Just Coco, Arellano University, and Team Enderun.  
As the top eight teams battled it out to claim 3×3 court supremacy, the Metrostar Realty emerged as the champion, bagging the P200,000 cash prize. Player Jamal Thompson was also declared MVP of the game. Meanwhile, Team Core was declared First Runner Up with P100,000 cash prize.


The final two (2) teams also received all-expense paid trip to Guangzhou, China this August and play against other groups in Asia to claim the HoopBattle Champion title.

If the Philippine team enters the top three in the final games, they will also bring home RMB400,000 (around P3 million), RM8120,000 (around Php900,000), and RM380,000 (around Php600,000).

Also present during the event is Vivo brand ambassador Iñigo Pascual, who energized the crowd and hosted the Vivo Hoop game for the fans.


Started in China from 2015 with the vision to highlight the best upcoming talents of basketball in the country,the HoopBattle Championship is an annual 3×3 basketball tournament held in some districts in China and other Asian countries. In the Philippines, it will be held in various Ayala Malls in the metro and was played under the strict guidelines of FIBA.
