Asian Air Safari‘s Season 12 kicks off with Ethiopian adventure

Flying-adventure travel show Asian Air Safari launched its latest season with a screening of a two-part special on Ethiopia at Shang Cineplex last May 23.

Guests enjoyed the ultimate cultural experience – with Ethiopian Airlines flying in the iconic coffee ceremony, followed by a feast of authentic Ethiopian cuisine, which included the staple, injera. Cultural performers also flew all the way from Addis Ababa to showcase their unique songs and dances.
Ethiopian Ambassador H.E. Shiferaw Jarso, and Ethiopian Airlines Country Manager Solomon Bekele welcomed guests to the occasion.

Bekele said: Ethiopian Airlines is nearing its second-year of operations in Manila.  Our routes connecting the Philippines to Ethiopia are important avenues to bridge the gap between the two countries in terms of tourism, trade, cultural exchange, and economic partnerships.  We believe our mission as an Airline is beyond just selling tickets. That is why we have done a variety of efforts with different local partners to introduce Ethiopia to the Philippines and the Philippines to Ethiopia. We are happy to share that we are looking forward to provide more exciting offerings for our clients in the Philippines this 2017.
The screening featured two new Asian Air Safari episodes, A Cradle of Mankind and A Land of Diversity, with Pilot and TV presenter Capt. Joy exploring the country’s rich history, meeting its vibrant people, experiencing the unique culture, and discovering the diverse wildlife.

The show’s new season resonates with the theme, “Tracing Our Routes, Unraveling A Diverse World”, which celebrates how various nations and races are able to find a common ground despite having very distinct cultures and religious beliefs. It will also feature unexplored destinations from Israel, Italy, Sweden, Australia, Japan, the Philippines and more.
Asian Air Safari is the only aviation-themed travel show in Asia. Hosted by real-life pilot Capt. Joy Roa, the show has been to over 250 cities in more than 65 countries to discover the world’s most fascinating places and cultures, meet with friends old and new, and to share experiences that make life meaningful.
The show also strongly advocates for the aviation industry and aims to inspire new generations of aspiring pilots to pursue their dreams of flying. At the end of the night, two lucky raffle draw winners bagged the trip of a lifetime with round-trip ticket to Ethiopia each.
Season 12 of Asian Air Safari begins June 11, 2017, Sunday at 8:30PM on the ABS-CBN News Channel, with replays every Saturday at 2:00PM. Follow Asian Air Safari on Facebook and Instagram for more updates! #AASAdventures
