“New Moon Breaks the Stigma Around PMOS and Period with “LET’S TALK! PERIOD.” Initiative with Modess and Fruity by LoveYourself”

As conversations around women’s health continue to evolve, New Moon is taking steps to make hormonal health discussions more open, accessible, and community-driven through “LET’S TALK! PERIOD.: Breaking the Silence on PMOS & Women’s Health,” an initiative held in celebration of PMOS Awareness Month in partnership with Modess and Fruity by LoveYourself.

The initiative brought together student leaders and young advocates for an afternoon of education and meaningful conversations on menstrual and hormonal health. At its core, the event aims to empower young people with knowledge they can bring beyond the seminar and share with their own communities.

PMOS, formerly known as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), is a complex hormonal and metabolic condition that can affect reproductive, metabolic, and overall health. The updated name was introduced in 2026 to better reflect the condition’s broader impact beyond the ovaries.

The initiative follows New Moon’s recent efforts to put real women’s experiences at the center of conversations about PMOS. During a recent New Moon event, Bea Millan-Windorski, Face of New Moon and longtime believer of the brand, openly shared that she had recently been diagnosed with PMOS. Her story reflects the reality that hormonal health concerns can affect women across different stages of life—even those who may not expect to experience them.

Meanwhile, Jasmine Dudley-Scales, another New Moon product believer and religious user and advocate for a healthy lifestyle, has also been open about her personal health journey. After months of incorporating Hormo Balance into her routine alongside lifestyle changes, Jasmine shared an encouraging update about her PMOS journey. Her experience highlights the importance of taking a proactive approach to health while recognizing that every woman’s experience with PMOS is different.

Rather than presenting one experience as representative of all women, New Moon hopes these stories encourage more women to listen to their bodies, seek proper medical guidance, and feel less alone in navigating hormonal health.

Bea Millan-Windorski’s Interview

New Moon is bringing the conversation to the next generation through “LET’S TALK! PERIOD.”, an initiative in partnership with Modess and Fruity by LoveYourself that invited student leaders to learn directly from an OB-GYN about PMOS, menstrual and hormonal health, and when it may be important to seek professional care.

The seminar is designed not only as an educational gathering but also as a community-focused CSR initiative. Participating students received products from New Moon and Modess, with the intention of extending the impact of the event beyond the room. By equipping student leaders with information and resources, the initiative encourages them to bring what they learned back to their respective schools, organizations, and communities.

For New Moon, awareness does not end when the seminar does. It becomes more meaningful when knowledge is passed forward.

Beyond the seminar, New Moon believes that real stories are essential in making conversations around PMOS more relatable and meaningful. This initiative is also part of New Moon’s wider storytelling efforts through its PMOS docu-series, which brings the conversation into the homes and lives of women navigating different experiences with the condition. Through honest and personal stories, the series sheds light on the realities of living with PMOS and reminds women that they are not alone in their journey.

The series features women with diverse PMOS journeys—including a woman who has experienced a long-term journey trying to conceive, a woman who became pregnant while navigating PMOS, and a young professional learning to manage the condition alongside her career and everyday life.

Through these stories, New Moon hopes to show that there is no single face or experience of PMOS. It can touch women at different stages of life, from young women and professionals to mothers, beauty queens, and public figures.

These stories also reinforce an important message: PMOS is more than a conversation about periods or fertility. It is a health condition that deserves awareness, understanding, proper medical guidance, and support.

With LET’S TALK! PERIOD., New Moon hopes to create more spaces where women can ask questions without shame, share experiences without fear of judgment, and seek information from qualified health professionals.

Together with Modess and Fruity by LoveYourself, the initiative is a step toward making conversations around menstrual and hormonal health more open—not only among women, but within families, schools, workplaces, and communities.

Because sometimes, starting a healthier conversation begins with simply saying: LET’S TALK! PERIOD.
