Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, a special device exclusively designed for athletes competing at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Nearly 3,800 athletes from around 90 countries will receive the phone, which is intended to enrich their Games-time experience — from life in the Olympic Village to capturing medal moments.
The device will play a central role in official podium celebrations through the Victory Selfie, making its Winter Olympics debut. For the first time, this initiative will extend to team sports, allowing athletes to document their collective triumphs. Additionally, select National Olympic Committees will participate in the Victory Profile, a photo series captured with the Galaxy S25 Ultra to showcase athletes’ passions and individuality.
Samsung emphasized its long-standing commitment to athletes, noting that it has provided Olympic Edition devices since Sochi 2014. Stephanie Choi, EVP and Head of Mobile Marketing, highlighted that the Flip7 Olympic Edition continues this tradition by enabling athletes to connect with fans and families in meaningful ways during the Games.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition integrates Galaxy AI with features like a new edge-to-edge FlexWindow for intuitive usability. Its dual rear cameras (50MP Wide and 12MP Ultra-Wide) deliver flagship-level clarity, while AI-powered tools such as Photo Assist and On-device Interpreter enhance communication and image quality. These functions are tailored to support athletes in both competition and daily life.
Design-wise, the device features a signature blue back glass inspired by Italian azure, symbolizing unity and sportsmanship. A custom gold frame represents excellence and podium glory, while the included clear magnet case carries motifs of victory. Special wallpapers inspired by winter sports further celebrate the Olympic spirit.
Exclusive features include Dual Recording, which lets athletes capture both their perspective and reactions simultaneously. The Olympic Edition also comes pre-loaded with apps and services such as the Galaxy Athlete Card, a 100GB 5G eSIM, Samsung Wallet passes like the Coca-Cola Free Beverage Key, and Athlete365 for performance and mental health support. Other apps like the official Olympic Games™ app and PinQuest enhance convenience in the Olympic Village.
The Victory Selfie, first introduced at Paris 2024, will now expand to team celebrations at Milano Cortina 2026, reflecting the collaborative nature of winter sports. Meanwhile, the Victory Profile initiative will involve around 490 athletes from nine countries, offering curated portraits that highlight their journeys beyond competition.
Distribution of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will begin on January 30, 2026, across six Olympic Villages. Athletes will also have access to the Samsung Open Station for technical support. Samsung reaffirmed its role as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, continuing its legacy of mobile innovation to connect athletes and fans through transformative technology.
