EastWest, foodpanda, and Visa launch a credit card made for foodies

EastWest, foodpanda, and Visa just dropped something big for all the foodies out there—the EastWest foodpanda Credit Card powered by Visa. Think of it as the ultimate foodie flex: a card that literally rewards you for giving in to your cravings.

Launched in Makati City with media and partners in attendance, the card is positioned as the go‑to for anyone who lives on deliveries, eats out often, or just wants instant perks every time they spend.

Here’s the deal: you get up to 10% cashback on foodpanda orders worth up to ₱4,000 (that’s ₱400 back). After hitting that cap, you still earn 3% cashback on foodpanda orders. Plus, there’s 1% cashback on international purchases and 0.3% on local transactions. The best part? Cashback is credited weekly straight to your pandapay wallet, with a monthly cap of ₱1,000. Basically, your next meal could already be partly paid for by your last one.

foodpanda Philippines MD Daniel Jaramillo, EastWest CEO Jerry Ngo, and Visa Philippines Country Head Jeffrey Navarro

EastWest CEO Jerry Ngo summed it up: this card is about making banking fit into everyday habits—turning every meal into a moment of value. And it’s not just about food. The card is fully digital: you can apply through the foodpanda app or EastWest’s AI chatbot ESTA, get approved, and have your card delivered ready to use anywhere Visa is accepted, online or in‑store.

New cardholders get a waived annual fee for the first year, and the first 50,000 approved applicants score six months of free pandapro membership plus exclusive vouchers. That’s extra rewards stacked on top of cashback.

foodpanda Philippines MD Daniel Jaramillo called it “the perfect recipe for everyday delight,” while Visa Philippines Country Head Jeffrey Navarro highlighted how this partnership pushes secure, contactless, and rewarding payments forward.

Beyond perks, the launch also supports the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ digital payments roadmap, aiming for 70% adoption by 2030. It’s a move that ties banking, food delivery, and digital lifestyle into one seamless ecosystem.

Want in? Applications are open now via the foodpanda app or at www.ewlend.com/esta.
