Self-love is an act of acceptance and kindness, according to Angelique. “Real love means allowing yourself to have that room to grow,” she says. “It’s being kind to yourself on the days you fail and giving yourself some flowers on your wins.”

Angelique shares that she takes the time to understand herself, her needs, weaknesses, and strengths. “And when I do, my relationship with myself becomes worry-proof because I get to show up with full confidence and trust in the person I am,” she said.

To show herself real love, Angelique embraces vulnerability and growth. “I think it really starts with putting down all my walls, trying to stay attuned with my core. I think that’s the greatest gift I could give myself — being kinder transforms into real love.”

For Roce, family is where love feels like home, even when they’re apart. No matter how hectic life gets, staying connected keeps their bond worry-proof. “Communication makes my family worry-proof,” she says.

She adds that love exists in the little things, like helping her family with chores, treating them to something special, or ensuring they feel appreciated.

“They support [me] through the ups and downs, acknowledge [my] efforts, and never make [me] feel invalidated,” Roce said.
