The furniture and furnishings industries continue to pick up the pace post global pandemic, even opening up Philippines Furniture Furnishings Market (PFFM) as an effective and efficient trading platform for new business opportunities especially in the Philippine market.

The PFFM is bringing in diverse choices of high-quality furniture and furnishing products to fulfill the sourcing needs of local market. “With continuous innovation and product development, the furniture industry in Asia is one of the most creative in the international market. By showcasing these products in PFFM, we are optimistic that we will be able to increase demand and compete in the global level,” says Vicky Tan, PFFM Project Director, Derrisen Sdn Bhd.

Industry players, stakeholders and partners have given their support to the PFFM.

“The PFFM will be an excellent platform for sourcing and networking opportunities for suppliers from both the Philippines and other ASEAN countries that offer the latest trend of high-quality furniture and furnishing products at competitive prices,” said Lorna Azarias, President, Association of Purchasing Managers of Hotels and Restaurants of the Philippines (APMHRP).

The Philippine Hotel Owners Association (PHO) and the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HAP) likewise lent their support to the event.

“PHO is excited to be part of PFFM 2023, which will allow current and future players in the Philippine hotel industry to explore business and networking opportunities in the hospitality and furnishings industry,” stated PHOA President Arthur Lopez.

“PFFM provides an excellent networking opportunity for HAP to share the needs of the hospitality industry with the participating companies,” added Eugene T. Yap, President of HAP.

“We look forward to the successful staging of this event this coming July in Manila.”

PFFM is also supported by the housing sector, represented by the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA), with over 300 member developers across 8 regional chapters nationwide.

“We are happy to link with PFFM especially as the pandemic has opened up a need for more housing, and consequently, furniture and furnishings. The trend right now is towards fully furnished, ready to move in housing, so PFFM comes at an opportune time,” said SHDA National President Ar. Leonardo B. Dayao Jr.

Also partnering with the PFFM is the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), the country’s biggest retail organization with more than 400 members.

“This exciting event promises to showcase the best of the country’s furniture and furnishings industry, and we are proud to be a part of it. PFFM is an excellent opportunity for local furniture and furnishings manufacturers to showcase their products and connect with potential customers and partners from around the world,” said Rosemarie Ong, President of PRA.

PFFM will showcase the latest trends in home furniture, outdoor furniture, office and commercial furniture, home décor and lifestyle products.

Participating countries include China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

The show is expected to attract at least 8,000 trade visitors such as furniture and furnishing importers, wholesalers, distributor and agents, retailers and department store, online retailers; interior designer and decorator, architects, developer and real estate companies; and hotel, resort, and restaurant managers.
