Tipid-oras Tips for Easier Days

It’s no secret that we all have to survive the everyday hustle and bustle of the city. Every minute counts, but we try to cope and hope that things get better. Over the last two years, I have been trying to change parts of my lifestyle to keep things in order, for my life to be simpler and happier.

Here are three smart changes I have so far done to help me keep things as basic and simple as possible:

  • Do my laundry twice a month. It saves me time to travel to the nearest laundromat in my neighborhood, and it’s more economical, too.
  • Do my ironing twice a month. It saves me electricity, and hence, money. To save more, I do it during daytime when I don’t need to use the house lights.
  • Do my grocery every month. Rather than buying tingi-tingi, I find it more cost-efficient to buy all that I need for the whole month. It cuts the time I spend for doing my grocery, which I used to do every week.

Recently, I added another very practical solution to keeping my lifestyle simple: I downloaded the GCash app on my smartphone. It does a lot of errands for me. One of these is sending money to my loved-ones wherever they, any time of the day, with just one push of a button.

I didn’t have to go to the nearest bank to my house, which is usually about a 15-minute walk away. Add to that the 30-35 minutes waiting time at the queue. All told, I used to spend about 45 minutes to an hour just to do a single over-the-counter transaction of sending money.

Transferring money is very simple and easy! With GCash, I can do it in just a few seconds without any hassle and in the convenience of my home, or while I’m doing my regular walking exercise or even when I’m in a mall. To top it all, it’s free of charge.

I can also pay my bills, purchase online, save, invest, among others. You, too, can try it. Just download the GCash app from Apple or Google store.
