Love Is Loud on Spotify Philippines’ Pride Hub

Today, Spotify launches its Pride Hub in the Philippines dedicated to highlighting queer icons, LGBTQIA+ artists and music of hope, self-acceptance, and empowerment. Building on previous years, Spotify will continue to support and encourage expression, art and creativity of the community with initiatives that amplify their voices.

This year, the Spotify Philippines’ Pride Hub will include a special edition of its classic #KiligPaMore playlist as well as celebrity playlists curated by the likes of Greyson Chance, the cast of “Pose”, and your favourite LGBTQIA+ Filipino artists.

Celebrate Love With #KiligPaMore

Starting from today, fans can explore a special Pride edition of Spotify’s #KiligPaMore playlist which includes the brand new dance anthem “Celebrate Love” featuring an all LGBTQIA+ lineup. Created in celebration of Pride, this upbeat, festive track seeks to inspire the community to be courageous and keep fighting for a world where people are free to love who they want to love.

The #KiligPaMore playlist isn’t the only surprise found within the hub. Dedicated especially to the community in the Philippines, fans can dive into playlists curated by their favourite LGBTQIA+ artists including Greyson Chance, Ice Seguerra, Vice Ganda and more to come in the week ahead!

Strike a “Pose”

TV fans also have something to look forward to in the Pride Hub. FX’s hit series Pose has always found a way to showcase queer anthems throughout its episodes, whether it’s on the runway of a ball or from a boombox on the street. Now, the stars of Pose have teamed up with Spotify to create a new set of playlists around certain “categories” corresponding to some of Pride month’s most important messages.

Billy Porter, who portrays Pray Tell, curated a playlist called “The Category Is: Love Yourself”, featuring anthems of self-empowerment, with dance classics like Cheryl Lynn’s “Got to Be Real” and Madonna’s “Vogue”. The other playlists follow similar themes – MJ Rodriguez is based on “power”, Indya Moore’s on “New Day”, and Dominique Jackson on “Beauty”.

With the Metro Manila Pride March fast approaching, Spotify has teamed up with the organizers to create a special playlist to get people hyped up for the big parade happening this Saturday, 29 June 2019. Follow Spotify’s Pride Hub closely for more to come!
