Modern-Classic Pinoy Dining Experience at Casa Reyes Bistro Filipino

Tomorrow, June 12, is the 121st Independence Day of the Philippines. If you are a millennial and you wanna feel a bit patriotic, try Casa Reyes Bistro Filipino for a modern-classic dining experience!

This resto specializes in Barbecues, Bagnet, Crispy Dinuguan, All-Day Breakfast other mouth-watering, taste-like-“home-cooked’ Filipino dishes. It has proven to be a go-to place for fantastic Filipino dishes – both traditional and innovative ones.

Upon entering you will be greeted by a very nice ambiance – cozy interior with traditional wooden furniture, monochrome portraits hanging on the walls, and vintage decors of old Filipino memorabilia, giving an eclectic Pinoy atmosphere. Its vibe is like visiting your grandparents’ ancestral house.

While waiting for the food to be served (by attentive and efficient servers in traditional Filipino dress), you can also enjoy reading the comics or play sungka.

Casa Reyes offers a variety-filled menu inspired by local cuisine from Pampanga, the Tagalog region and Ilocos.

The Tinapa at Kesong Puti Lumpia with Mango Salsa starter has a smoky taste that goes well with the creaminess of local cheese, wrapped in lettuce and smothered with the ripe mango salsa.

The buttered shrimp in aligue sauce and the Bagnet and Laing Combo are dishes to die. While the delicious special barbeques like the Siracha Tomahawk BBQ Chops is tender and savory, exploding flavors in your mouth with every bite.

For dessert, the Salted Egg Bibingka Cheesecake is just heavenly for only P140!

Now for frozen desserts, try the Pinoy Gelato that comes in defferent flavor based on Filipino favorites: Choconut at Flat Tops, Kapeng Barako, Mangga at Suman, Choco Mallows, Dark Tablea and Sea Salt, Ube Halaya at Keso and Keso at Pastillas P150 (Small 1 flavor), P165 (Medium, 2 flavors)

For drinks, try the refreshing Watermelon Shake – P130

Taste-wise, Casa Reyes’ offers real quality food with most of their menu staying true to Pinoy taste and standards. In terms of presentation, very creative and consistently Pinoy like the food are served in mini metal pots and frying pans. The serving sizes are quite generous and at reasonable prices.
