A fashion retail brand that continues to make women feel and look beautiful any day, KARIMADON presents an exciting fashion collaboration with international designer Rosenthal Tee.
What started out as a humble ready-to-wear boutique for women in 1980, KARIMADON has grown to over a total of 30 boutique stores and can be found in department store outlets as well. It also has 7 stores in Indonesia, with a distributor in Vancouver, Canada. This retail brand is also available online through its website, where customers all over the world can avail of its elegant gowns, trendy casuals, and sophisticated work wear pieces.
It’s a style match
Josie Go, the woman behind KARIMADON, believes in putting attention to every single detail. The brand houses a pool of in-house designers in making sure they deliver original designs that are on par with international fashion trends.
So when she met international fashion designer Rosenthal Tee, she knew it was a match made in heaven. Tee graduated in 2013 from the famed Istituto Marangoni in Italy with a Master’s Degree in Fashion Design Womenswear with Distinction. In less than five years, this young fashion designer has already made her mark on the global fashion industry. Her feminine aesthetics are presented with structured sophistication, a visual display of Tee’s beautiful and adventurous spirit.
The collaboration
KARIMADON’s vision of providing affordable luxury for women is what makes the brand the go-to retail store. From time to time, this retail brand surprises its discerning clientele with exciting collaborations. “Working with the hottest and most talented designers gives our customers the chance to own something extra special, because we produced them in very limited pieces, we want to give our customers the experience of wearing designers pieces at affordable prices,” shares Go.
“We have been planning this for over a year. We only went full throttle by May. It started with a sit down for this holiday season. I wanted colors that were celebratory of the season, so we worked with a palette that emphasizes (on) that,” reveals Tee.
It’s her very first foray into the ready-to-wear market nationwide, and Tee is very grateful to KARIMADON for this opportunity. “They allowed me to work with a clean canvas. Mrs. Josie Go has been really aggressive in wanting a fresh set of eyes to elevate her own vision of the brand, and it just worked out that she and I got along. As a collaborator, she’s given me full creative expression to really bring this collection to everyone today.”
The collection
Inspired from the English rose garden at dusk, Tee chose autumn touches of bold red, hunter green, navy and rust orange. She adds her trademark color palette of creams and pinks, reflecting the English rose. “In terms of fabrication, there’s a luxe detail that’s still quite affordable for the KARIMADON woman with the use of luxurious duchess satins and French tulle. There are also plenty of transitional pieces you can wear from day to night, in stretched neoprene and crepe options, that allow for most women to move with ease as they go about their day,” explains Tee.
The two ladies agree that this collection is made for the multi-faceted woman. ”I see everyone in this collection! Women of all shapes and stylistic preferences. You can be ultra feminine or a little more into athleisure, but still find something that works for you in this collection. Some pieces can also be made to work in the corporate setting, formal engagements, and even a brunch out with your girlfriends.”
What Tee is most excited about is that a majority of the pieces comes in sets, so one can have fun mixing and matching them. “If you get two full looks, then you have generally about four pieces that you can switch around. This collection is really meant for women to play up in their own distinct style, and in a colour palette that is timely for the holiday season but also without season. They can be worn for a very long time as well, in rotation in your closet,” ends Tee.
This very limited and exclusive KARIMADON X Rosenthal Tee collection will be available first week of October 5 in SM Megamall, Glorietta 1, SM North EDSA, and Robinsons Ermita., and will be available online at www.karimadonfashion.com starting September 28.
