The Goldilocks Cake Decorating team landed a Silver Medal at the 2018 FHA Expo in Singapore held last April 24-27, 2018. The FHA (Food Hotel Asia) Expo is one of the biggest for the food and hospitality industry in Asia. The event welcomed more than 80,000 attendees from more than 100 countries in the world.
Adding to the excitement onsite, a string of world-class competitions, workshops and activities were staged alongside the exhibition, providing a holistic show experience to all attendees. The Goldilocks R&D Cake Decorating Department sent a team to compete for the Freestyle Wedding Cake Display.
The team was led by Mr. Roger Furton with help from Mr. Jomark Capaccio, Mr. Christian Aguila, Mr. Romulo Bello and Mr. Neilbin Cuadra. They won a silver medal for their intricate castle design which featured complex string work and hand painted birds.
It is also a proud moment for Goldilocks as we saw some of our past and present winners from the Intercollegiate Cake Decorating Challenge win big alongside our team. 2018 ICDC Champions, Lyceum of the Philippines Laguna was awarded the Gold medal while past ICDC Champion, St. Anne Lucena, also received a silver medal.
These wins highlight the big contribution of Goldilocks in developing world-class cake decorating talent in the Philippines. Our team not only represented the company but also the country as we cement our position in the cake-decorating world.
This win will, hopefully, be the first of many other cake decorating triumphs, which we can look forward to in the future. Congratulations to our talented and skillful R&D Decorating Department for their achievement.
