The haute couture fashion designer Don Cristobal brings his creative works into new heights showing us how fashion can compliment technology and vice versa. In an interview about how his work embodies this forward-thinking technology industry he said, “The fashion and technology are places of experiments where you must dive deeper and deeper to come up with endless possibilities.”
Though he just had his recent runway show last December that stunned lots of spectators, Don Cristobal now releases new set of collections and takes the lead in creating techno chic inspired outfits, modern men’s wear, and innovative ready-to-wear ensembles exploring the possibilities of the modern fashion and raising the bar in terms of functional design.
The changing fashion scene presents futuristic styles with 3D dimensions, unconventional construction details, and eccentric LED lighting designs on the clothes itself, but Don Cristobal sticks to his creative and wearable fashion style that still reflects the influence of modern technology. “We didn’t want something that’s alienated and too futuristic to replace your personal style completely. Our goal is to mirror the modern and innovative era on your clothes while keeping it beautifully constructed and voguish,” he said.
In his technology-inspired design, you can distinguish the creative and optimistic style from the simplest details through to more innovative aspects. Instead of drawing inspirations from futuristic aesthetic and fractal patterns, the creative designer Don maintained his sophisticated style through incorporating techno chic shades, geometric patterns, architectural cuts, structured silhouette, ergonomic fitting, breathable fabrics, and modern hemlines to his works. If the architectural ensemble looks too bold for him, he’ll balance the silhouette with sheer or soft fabrics to knock the hard edges off making it look modern at the same time agreeable.
“Fashion and technology have become the most intimate expressions of who we are. However, we must use them as a tool, and don’t let them use us to shape our core values and individuality. Because sometimes, they set the rules and influence us without even knowing we subjected our creative minds with them. On the contrary, when you take control and draw inspirations from the innovative technology and modern fashion you’ll create masterpiece,” the fashion designer said. Indeed, the innovations taking place at the intersection of technology and fashion are profoundly modern and creative.
