SM Group wins in prestigious Anvil, PH Quill Awards

The SM Group scored stellar wins in two of the most prestigious awards in the field of public relations with a strong showing at the 56th Anvil Awards and the 18th Philippine Quill Awards taking more than 30 recognitions for its exceptional communication and social good programs in 2020.

“These recognitions will continue to fuel our passion to innovate, serve our customers, and work closely with all of our partners as we chart our nation’s path towards recovery and growth,” said SM Supermalls President Steven Tan.

During the Public Relations Society of the Philippines’ (PRSP) first-ever virtual 56th Anvil Awards Gawad Parangal held last February 19, SM won eight Silver anvils for: SM Supermalls’ #SafeMallingAtSM (PR Program), and SM Rider Program (PR Program); The SM Aura Shopper (Digital PR Program); The SM Sure Shopper (PR Program); SM Cares x SM Mall of Asia Bike-Friendly MOA (PR Program); and SM Foundation’s #SocialGood Stories which won in four categories namely, Specialized Public Relations Program – COVID-related PR Programs with Tools, Digital PR Program, PR Program on a Sustained Basis, and PR Program Directed at Specific Stakeholders – Communities.

Considered the most prestigious recognition in Philippine public relations, the Anvil Award is a symbol of excellence in public relations in the country conferred annually by the PRSP. The Anvil Awards recognize outstanding public relations tools, programs, and practitioners discerned by select PR professionals and assessed by a distinguished multi-sectoral jury.

Meanwhile, SM Group will be receiving 25 awards at the International Association of Business Communicators Philippines’ Quill Awards after being shortlisted in several categories in two divisions. The virtual awarding ceremonies are tentatively scheduled to be held this March.
