Pia Wurtzbach, Donnalyn Bartolome join netizens in the #WalkWithPride through Instagram’s newest filter

The Filipino AR Filter on Instagram was created by Filipino LGBTQIA+ artist Brent Sabas and Meta Spark AR Filipino creator Mitsuko Ono

This Pride month, Meta launched its first ever Filipino #WalkWithPride AR filter on Instagram as part of its efforts to celebrate the LGBTQ+ communities who are shaping culture and influencing how gender identity is expressed across our technologies.  Following its roll-out, many Filipino users —- both allies and members—- have already strutted their way through the virtual catwalk to celebrate and show their support to the queer community.

Pinoy stars and influencers also joined netizens to show their catwalk moves and support as allies of LGBTQ+ communities. Celebrities such as Ms. Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and influencer Donnalyn Bartolome took netizens into their personal catwalk on Instagram as they strutted their rampa moves using the #WalkWithPride AR filter.

“Hey guys, I’m in Times Square NYC and always walking with PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈. I’m inviting my LGBTQ+ friends and fellow allies to check out this filter, walk with me, and create this Reel. Just type “pride walkway” on reels effect 🫶🏼#WalkWithPride2022,” shares Pia in her Instagram Reels post, as she turns the classic streets of New York into a colorful Pride runway.

Meanwhile, in a similar Reels post, Donnalyn transforms her location into a personal catwalk, saying: “You don’t have to explain yourself, you don’t have to say a thing!! JUST BE!! 🌈 try this Pride Walkway filter on reels!! USE YOUR BACK CAM para lumabas yung rainbow runway hahaha! SOOOBRANG CUTE!! Adjust the walkway by pinching and dragging, fave filter so far!! 😍 Happy Pride!! #WalkWithPride2022.”
